Jakarta, 7 February 2022  PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk ("LPKR" or "Company"), Indonesia’s leading real estate and healthcare platform based on total assets and revenue, has stepped up efforts to champion sustainability by pledging its support for the World Economic Forum (“WEF”) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics.

An initiative by the WEF International Business Council, the WEF Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics were conceived as a universal set of environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) metrics to streamline global sustainability reporting. Building upon existing ESG standards, the Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics are organized around four key pillars: Governance, Planet, People and Prosperity.

The principles of Stakeholder Capitalism are closely aligned with LPKR’s corporate mission to create long-term value for all its stakeholders, above and beyond its shareholders. Driven by its vision to grow in stewardship and transform people’s quality of life, LPKR strives to be a sustainable and socially responsible company that plays an active role in meeting human needs across every aspect of life. The Company provides accessible and affordable housing, healthcare and leisure for all, empowers its employees and the communities it operates in, promotes good corporate governance, as well as make significant contributions to the national economy and sustainability agenda.

As a long-standing partner of WEF and a member of the WEF International Business Council, LPKR – as part of Lippo Group – has committed to reflect the Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics in its sustainability reporting. LPKR joins a coalition of over 100 leading multinational companies to promote the adoption of these metrics by public and private entities around the world.

CEO LPKR and Chairman of Siloam Hospitals, John Riady said, “Sustainability has always been deeply embedded in our DNA. As a mission-oriented company in Indonesia’s real estate and healthcare sectors, we are focused on delivering positive impact to all our stakeholders throughout the urban ecosystem, especially the local communities we serve. I am pleased to announce that Lippo Group is among the first in Southeast Asia to declare support for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics. As WEF’s longest-standing Indonesian partner, we are committed to leading by example through promoting the principles of Stakeholder Capitalism, adopting ESG best practices, and enhancing our sustainability reporting. I strongly believe that our company’s pursuit of long-term value creation will not only advance the interests of our various stakeholders, but also accelerate Indonesia’s progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”
